Memories of a trip…
Vienna: AMAZING-WONDERFUL-A DREAM TRIP
A truly dream trip. A journey through time, to the time of emperors, princes, classical music, opera, ballet.
A dreamy city, full of museums, palaces, wonderful neoclassical and baroque buildings so well preserved that they transport you back in time.
St. Stephen’s Square, Belvedere Palace, Schonbrunn Palace, the twin buildings of the Art History Museum and the Natural History Museum, the Vienna Opera House, dreamy gardens with music pavilions where can listen to classical music by Mozart, Straus, Beethoven etc.
Our visit to Senbrun Palace, the rooms open to the public and the gardens surrounding it was unforgettable. There is a spot in the garden where you can see the city of Vienna. For coffee and schnitzel, we sat down in a central part of Vienna, St. Stephen’s Square, surrounded by streets with impressive shops for all tastes and preferences.
Close to the square of Agios Stefanos is the house where Rigas Ferraios lived (Greek revolution for those who remember).
Friendly people, clean and safe city, great food and the most amazing ever ice cream I’ve ever tasted.
For food… We didn’t follow the stereotypes but speaking with locals we choose to follow their recommendations and try the local specialties (schnitzel, goulash), in wonderful little tavernas a few meters away from the square of Agios Stefanos.
One of the most dreamy trips… and I would do it again only that this time I would like to see Vienna through the glow of Christmas.
