Malta, Italy & Greece - Costa Fascinosa

Day 1: Larnaca - Malta

Direct flight Larnaca to Malta with Emirates. Afternoon at your leisure in Malta. Overnight in Malta. 

Day 2: Embarkation Costa Fascinosa

Breakfast at the hotel. Embarkation on Costa Fascinosa. The ship departs from Malta port at 19.00

Day 3: Catania, Italy

The ship arrives at Catania port at 07:00 and departs at 17:00.

The port of Catania is located about 300 metres from the historic city centre. We suggest that you visit the Piazza del Duomo, symbol of the city. If you cross Via Crociferi, one of the most famous streets of the city, you can get to Palazzo Biscari, one of the most impressive and majestic buildings in the whole of Sicily. Finally, you can see Mount Etna looking north, with its famous lava flows.

Day 4: Taranto, Italy

The ship arrives at Taranto port at 09:00 and departs 18:00. 

Taranto is a real tip for those who want to discover ancient Italy. For example, visit Lungomare and watch the fishermen on their traditional boat. Thanks to the sheltered location of the Bay, there is a real abundance of fish here. To delve even further into the history, it is best to explore the Aragon Castle. You must have seen the excavation site inside the imposing fortress.

Day 5: Argostoli/Kefalonia

The ship arrives at Argostoli port at 09:00 and departs 16:00. 

Kefalonia is the largest and most beautiful island in the Ionian Sea. Enjoy a nice stroll along the oleander and Palm waterfront, which runs alongside the harbour dock.Argostoli may have been shaken by earthquakes, but it managed to preserve its original urban landscape for as long as possible.
So you can enjoy a stroll through the Old Town and explore attractions such as the rebuilt Monastery of Agios Gerasimos or the main church decorated with many frescoes. The area around Argostoli with its Cypress, olive and pine trees also invites you to discover. You will be surprised at the beach of Myrtos, at the port of the sleepy fishing village of Agia Efimia and at the cave Melissani or Drogarati.

Day 6: Mykonos

The ship arrives at Mykonos port at 12.00 and departs at 22.00.

A scooter ride to the beaches of Mykonos will allow you to discover the beauty of the island with ease. You can enjoy a drink with a view of the windmills.
After docking at the old port of Mykonos, enjoy the numerous natural coves, beaches and cliffs of this beautiful island. Take advantage of the break to stroll through the maze of streets and alleys where you can discover the beauty of the architecture and the layout of the city. The small white houses with shutters as blue as the sky, the pigeon houses and the numerous small churches of Mykonos will simply enchant you.

Day 7: Piraeus

The ship arrives at Piraeus port at 06.00 and departs at 20.00.

Piraeus is the port of Athens, the largest in Europe, allowing you to visit the city, a place of dreams. A place of emigration, it has inspired numerous songs. Most ships will be making a stop in Athens before resuming the Mediterranean route or returning to the Atlantic. Take the time to visit the Acropolis and maybe the museum located at its base. Before flying out, enjoy the spectacle of a sunset at Capo Sunio. Try not to visit the city when it's too hot in summer, much of the population moves out of town.

Day 8: At sea

Day at your leisure to enjoy the facilities of Costa Fascinosa ship.

Day 9: Malta - Larnaca

Costa Fascinosa ship arrives at Valletta port at 09.00. Return flight to Larnaca.
