Costa Safety Protocol, for You.
The gradual restarting of cruises, following the go-ahead of relevant authorities, will be supported by the new “Costa Safety Protocol“, the health protocol designed specifically to guarantee the best holiday experience possible while providing maximum safety.
The “Costa Safety Protocol” was developed with the help of a group of independent scientific experts from the public health field, coordinated by V.I.H.T.A.L.I. (Value in Health Technology and Academy for Leadership and Innovation), a branch connected to the Catholic University of Rome. The protocol complies with national and international health guidelines and includes a very wide range of measures and procedures covering every aspect of the cruise, including:
- the safety of crew members upon return to work
- the booking process
- embarkation and disembarkation operations in ports
- the on-board experience
- excursions
- medical care
To further protect the safety of guests and crew, we have begun the process of obtaining the Biosafety Trust Certification from RINA, a certification that takes into account all aspects of life on board – from hotel services to catering, fitness and relaxation areas – and verifies the proper management of health and hygiene following a series of audits conducted both on board and ashore.
