Day 3: Savona, Italy

The ship arrives at Savona port at 08:30 and departs at 18:00

Above the port of Savona, the Priamar Fortress greets every departure and arrival of the Costa ships sailing in the Mediterranean. Genoa and its aquarium are nearby.
The port of Savona is one of the prettiest of the Italian Riviera. The lovely climate, summers that are never to hot, mild winters and the exceptional beauty of the sea near the town makes Savona an excellent base to set out to explore Liguria. Savona is notable for the Priamar Fortress, which has dominated the town since the 16th century, and also for its historic centre where you can visit Savona Cathedral. A stop in Savona can also be an opportunity to visit the nearby city of Genoa and its narrow, picturesque streets, known as “caruggi”.

Not to be missed: The Priamar Fortress, the Savona Cathedral and Via Paleocapa.

4

Day 4: Marseille, France

The ship arrives at Marseille port at 08:30 and departs at 18:30

A pleasant thing to do is simply sit down at one of the cafes overlooking the port of Marseilles and, sipping a Pastis, observe the landscape and the people who inhabit it. Also called the "Porpoise City ", Marseille is France’s sunniest town, charming with its gullies where you can swim, its history and culture and restaurants with cosmopolitan cuisine. You cannot leave without having first toured on the “Cours Julien”, the street for shopping. The port of Marseille is perhaps a typical tourist destination, but it deserves to be visited for the ferry that leaves from the Town Hall and the old church, which replaced a Templar building.

Not to be missed: Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, the city of the Popes.

5

Day 5: Barcelona, Spain

The ship arrives at Barcelona port at 08:00 and departs at 18:00

Among the "ramblas" you will discover great food and beer, but we are always under the watchful eye of Gaudi, who captured and expressed the soul of Barcelona in his architecture.
The city is home to an innovative contemporary art museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and Camp Nou. Also, after visiting these popular destinations, you can discover the Catalan culture. During our stop in Barcelona,  take a walk down La Rambla before visiting the Picasso Museum. In the city, you can see memorable architecture everywhere. Before leaving pay a visit to the neighborhood in the port of Barcelona. Completely renovated for the Olympic Games in 1992, it has become a place filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Not to be missed: Helicopter ride, The masterpieces of Gaudí and the Sightseeing tour of Barcelona and Camp Nou stadium.

6

Day 6: Palma de Mallorca, Spain

The ship arrives at Palma De Mallorca port at 08:00 and departs at 18:00.

Imagine an island with turquoise blue waters, secret coves, soft golden sands, lush green foliage, rugged mountains, picturesque villages and a vibrant capital city. Now drop that island in the sea only a couple of hours flight from most European cities... that's Mallorca (also known as Majorca) in a nutshell.

The island and its capital, Palma, are overflowing with character while its beaches are famous all around the world, making it one of the most sought-after summer destinations. Generously furnished with luxury hotels and villas, Mallorca is also one of the world's sailing hotspots. The locally produced foodie delights and wines, delicious traditional cuisine and first-class restaurants with Michelin stars have only added to its appeal. But that's not all, an island steeped in history, Mallorca boasts charming villages, historic sights, an artisan and cultural scene and popular events taking place throughout the year. If relaxing is your thing, grab a sun lounger at a beach club, hop on a boat trip or stroll through the old streets in Palma for some leisurely shopping. Just don't expect to relax for too long as there are theme and water parks for the whole family to enjoy, as well as watersports, thousands of things to do and all the serious walking and cycling you could care to do on holiday. And, if you've not overdone the daytime, there's always the bustling nightlife to finish you off.

7

Day 7: At sea

Day at your leisure to enjoy the facilities and entertainment onboard Costa Toscana ship.

8

Day 8: Palermo, Italy

The ship arrives at Palermo port at 08:00 and departs at 16:00

Your stop in the port of Palermo will enable you to discover the ancient city founded in the 8th century AD by the Phoenicians, plus the refined cuisine: don’t leave without tasting the famous cannoli! Palermo will impress you with its beauty, inherited from the Middle Ages when it was dominated by the Arabs before being conquered by the Normans. The Norman Palace and its extraordinary Cappella Palatina, Palermo and Monreale Cathedral, are architectural gems that combine Roman, Arabic, Norman and Byzantine styles. But it’s also the Botanical Garden and the surprising banyan with its luxurious trunks that will leave you with unforgettable memories of the city.

Not to be missed: The Norman Palace, The Palatine Chapel and The Capuchin Catacombs.
