Make a stop in Cadiz, an Andalusian town that gives its name to the region it is capital of and the gulf on whose heights it stands proud. Its buildings are characterised by influences, in chronological order, of the Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and the Christians. The port of Cadiz was the departure point of the expedition that led to the discovery of America. Here you can admire the charming seafront promenade and the 3 km bridge that crosses the bay. Don't miss the chance to taste "tapas de chorizo" or see a flamenco show.

Day 6: Tangier, Morocco

The ship arrives at Tangier port at 09:00 and departs at 19:00

A magical tour to discover Morocco's two largest cities: Tangier, the white city, the star of many films and the city of a thousand stars, and Tetouan, where Arab and Spanish styles come together perfectly reflecting the dual cultural heritage of the city.

We will begin our tour climbing the mountainous, road, flanked with magnificent villas and magical gardens until we arrive at the promontory of Cap Spartel, which overlooks the Atlantic coast with its impressive lighthouse, erected in 1860. We will briefly stop to take photos of the views of the north-western point of Africa.

We will enter the grotto of Ercole, the caves where, according to legend, the legendary hero rested after having separated Gibraltar from Africa. Presently, these caves are the most popular geographical site in terms of Morocco's national and international tourism.

Then return to Tangier where we will walk across mysterious and windy roads and the souks of the medina: we will have the chance to purchase souvenirs and admire local craftsmanship. As has always been the case, the medina of Tangier serves as a source of inspiration for artists: many famous people such as Eugène Delacroix, Henri Matisse and William Burroughs have visited it and consider it their home.

The next stage allows us to take a break and freshen up a little at a comfortable hotel before heading to Tetouan. Once we arrive at our destination, we will begin our tour of the city starting with the Royal Palace (only from outside) and the surrounding area, before taking our place at the table in a local restaurant for lunch

After lunch, we will continue our tour of Tetouan admiring the architecture, a perfect fusion of Arab and Spanish styles which reflect the dual cultural heritage of the city. In Tetouan, very few people still speak Spanish, however Spanish culture still plays a huge role in the daily life of its inhabitants.

7

Day 7: Casablanca, Morocco

The ship arrives at Casablanca port at 07:00 and departs at 21:00

Which city can best express the allure of mystery, if not Casablanca? The city that inspired the famous film by Curtiz is also the centre of an extremely refined gastronomic street culture.
The true Moroccan trade hub, Casablanca is a city not to be missed. Strongly characterised by French influence, it’s distinguished by the fusion of Moorish architectural styles and a very “Western” culture that jumps right out at you. It is impossible to stay in the city without visiting the formidable minaret of the Hassan II Mosque. Treat yourself to a visit to the Arab League Park and the Royal Palace, located in the district of Habous. Before sailing from the port of Casablanca, the old Medina and its small shops are ideal to enjoy the traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Not to be missed: The Arab League Park, The District of Habous, The Hassan II Mosque

Otherwise you can use the cable car, with dizzying views. You can also opt for a boat trip around the fortress in the company of dolphins. And don't forget the shopping, with the advantages of duty-free.

Also called the "Porpoise City ", Marseille is France’s sunniest town, charming with its gullies where you can swim, its history and culture and restaurants with cosmopolitan cuisine. You cannot leave without having first toured on the “Cours Julien”, the street for shopping. The port of Marseille is perhaps a typical tourist destination, but it deserves to be visited for the ferry that leaves from the Town Hall and the old church, which replaced a Templar building.
