DAY 1: LARNACA – RIGA

Meeting at the airport and flight to the capital of Latvia, the renowned Riga, the largest city in the Baltic States. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel with our tour leader. Check-in and overnight-stay.

DAY 2: RIGA WALKING CITY TOUR – DAUGAVA RIVER CRUISE – JURMALA

After breakfast, we start our day with a beautiful city tour of Riga, one of Europe’s best-preserved old towns. Built on the banks of the Daugava River, the city is famous for its impressive Art Nouveau architecture, the medieval Vecriga district, and its large green parks. We will admire stunning Gothic monuments and buildings of different architectural styles, and visit the Cathedral Square. We will also explore remarkable examples of Art Nouveau.

Next, an optional cruise along the Daugava River and the picturesque canals of Riga awaits – a truly unique experience! In the afternoon, we suggest an excursion to Jurmala, the largest seaside resort in the Baltics, known for its beautiful beaches and fine white sand. Enjoy a swim, relax, or take a walk along the coast. In the evening, we return to Riga for an atmospheric walk in the old town. Overnight stay.

DAY 3: RIGA – RUNDALE PALACE – KAUNAS – VILNIUS

After breakfast, we depart for Vilnius, Lithuania’s largest city. Our journey unveils the grandeur of the Baltic region, featuring palaces, historic towns, and stunning natural landscapes. A highlight is the magnificent Rundale Palace, famous for its stunning Baroque architecture and beautiful gardens, built in the 18th century for the Dukes of Courland.

We continue to Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city, known for its vibrant cultural life, street art, modern architecture, and museums. A stop is necessary to taste its famous chocolate cake before we proceed through scenic fir forests. Our day ends with an evening stroll through Vilnius’s charming old town. Overnight stay in Vilnius.

DAY 4: VILNIUS CITY TOUR – TRAKAI – FLIGHT TO TALLINN

After breakfast, we explore Vilnius, a city situated at the confluence of the Vilnele and Neris Rivers, featuring elegant Renaissance buildings. We walk along Pilies Street, home to the historic university, and continue to the Cathedral of the Theotokos. Passing through the Gate of Dawn, we reach the artistic district of Užupis.

Later, we head to Trakai, a picturesque town built on water, surrounded by 200 lakes and small islands. The area’s three medieval castles are steeped in legend, with the most significant being the Galvė Lake Castle, accessible via a wooden bridge. Inside, we find exhibitions of medieval weapons, daily life artifacts, and knightly tournament reconstructions.

Returning to Vilnius, we enjoy a final walk before transferring to the airport for our flight to Tallinn. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and overnight stay

DAY 5: TALLINN WALKING CITY TOUR – PETER THE GREAT’S SUMMER PALACE

We begin our exploration of Tallinn by walking up Toompea Hill, home to the city’s old castle with its tallest tower, the Baroque palace (now the Parliament), and impressive 13th-century churches. From here, the views of the old and modern city, the harbor, and Tallinn Bay are breathtaking.

The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, retains its medieval walls and towers. The Town Hall Square features Europe’s oldest pharmacy and a unique medieval town hall. Next, we visit Kadriorg Park, dedicated to Empress Catherine, with its splendid gardens and Swan Lake. The former summer palace of Peter the Great now houses the European Art Museum, showcasing 900 paintings from the 16th to the 20th century.

We also explore the ruins of Pirita Convent, dedicated to St. Bridget. Finally, we enjoy free time exploring the historic city center. Overnight stay.

DAY 6: TALLINN – BALTIC SEA CRUISE TO HELSINKI

A free day to explore Tallinn at your leisure or join an optional full-day Baltic Sea cruise to Helsinki, Finland’s striking capital. Highlights include the iconic Lutheran Cathedral with its green domes, the old covered market, and a chance to taste local Finnish cuisine, featuring salmon. Other notable sights include Narinkka Square, the impressive wooden Kamppi Chapel, and Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, symbolizing Russia’s influence in Finland. Must-see landmarks include the Sibelius Monument, the Central Railway Station, the Ateneum National Art Museum, the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Parliament House.

A visit to the city’s famous harbor market provides an authentic Finnish atmosphere. After a day full of experiences, we return to Tallinn. Overnight stay.

DAY 7: TARTU – TURAIDA CASTLE – SIGULDA PALACE – RIGA

After breakfast, we depart for Tartu, Estonia’s second-largest city, blending cultural heritage with modern innovation. A stop to taste Estonia’s famous chocolate is a must.

We continue to Turaida Castle, one of Latvia’s most spectacular castles, overlooking the Gauja River Valley. Built in 1214, it has withstood conquests, fires, and restorations, now serving as a museum narrating centuries of history.

Our next stop is Sigulda Palace, an elegant architectural masterpiece in the Latvian countryside, exuding grandeur. We then arrive in Riga for our final overnight stay.

DAY 8: RIGA – LARNACA

After breakfast and check-out, we transfer to the airport, with a final city tour before our flight back to Larnaca.
