One of the last great wilderness areas of Africa, Botswana has truly unique landscapes and some of the world’s finest game viewing. The jewel in the crown is the seasonally flooded Okavango Delta – a wetland paradise within a desert! The Chobe area is known for its great herds of elephants and is an easy add-on to a visit to the Victoria Falls. To see the Okavango Delta at its best, we recommend visiting between June and October. Home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, as well as other wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and zebras, visitors of Chobe National Park can go on game drives, boat tours or even walking safaris.  The Okavango Delta is home to many species of animals and birds and visitors can enjoy exploring the delta on a mokoro canoe or on foot.
