Meeting at Larnaca airport for the flight to Athens. Arrival and board our bus for the journey via Rio-Antirrio to Igoumenitsa. Board the ferry to Corfu. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel, dinner and optional attendance of the Holy Passion.
After breakfast, visit Paleokastritsa, one of the most picturesque destinations of Corfu, with panoramic views from the "Bella Vista" position. Visit to the Byzantine monastery of Theotokos, built on a hill, with a magnificent view of the endless blue.
Then, participation in the first procession of the Epitaph at the pier of Alypa, in a solemn atmosphere against the backdrop of the natural beauty of the area. Next, a visit to the local fruit factory of Koum-Kuat, where you can taste traditional products (sweets, liqueurs, etc.).
In the evening, transfer to Corfu town for the magnificent Litany of the Epitaphs in Spianada Square. The first Epitaph comes out from Panagia Spileotissa, while the procession of the Metropolis, which is the most imposing, ends late at night. All the Epitaphs are accompanied by philharmonic bands, choirs and banners in mournful style. Return to the hotel and overnight.
After breakfast, departure for the city center, where we will attend the First Resurrection with the special custom of the Botis. At 11:00, residents throw clay jugs and pitchers full of water from their balconies, symbolizing the removal of bad luck. Philharmonic bands play cheerful tunes, while crowds of people collect fragments of broken sticks.
This is followed by the procession of the tent of St. Spyridon, a custom from the Venetian era, which symbolizes the salvation of Corfu from famine. At noon, visit to Kanoni, Mouse Island and the Monastery of Vlacherna, with its idyllic view.
In the evening, attend the Resurrection service in the Upper Square. After the "Deuteronomy Light" and "Christ is Risen", the sky is filled with fireworks. Dinner with cooking and festive dishes. Overnight.
After breakfast, we celebrate Easter Sunday with a traditional meal and the baking of the obelias at the hotel. The feast includes music, dancing and singing, offering an authentic Easter experience. The afternoon is free for relaxation or sightseeing on the island. Overnight.
Departure from Corfu and visit Parga. Tour of the picturesque harbour, the Venetian castle and the traditional houses. Afterwards, the route to Patras via Aktio-Preveza and Rio-Antirio. Pilgrimage to the church of St. Andrew and overnight stay.
Free breakfast in Patras for shopping and souvenirs. In the afternoon, departure for Athens airport and return to Cyprus.
