1st Day - Wednesday: Athens, Patras, Kyllini, Zakynthos

Gathering at Larnaca Airport at 5:30 AM. After completing airport formalities, departure for Athens. Arrival at Eleftherios Venizelos, boarding our bus, and departure for the beautiful city of Patras. We will make a stop in Corinth for rest and to admire the Isthmus, which connects the Corinthian Gulf with the Saronic Gulf. We continue towards Patras, where we will have a nice tour of the capital of Achaea. We will visit the shrine of Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Patras. Afterward, we continue to the port of Kyllini, where we will board the ferry to the beautiful island of Zakynthos. After an hour and a half on the waters of the Ionian Sea, we arrive at the island known as the "Flower of the Levant," the birthplace of our national poet Dionysios Solomos. Boarding our bus, we drive along the coastal road and transfer to our hotel. Check-in and optional meal. Later, we will embark on a lovely excursion to Bohali, a picturesque suburb above the city with its Venetian castle, the church of Chrysopegi, and enjoy the stunning view of the city. We will continue to Strani, where the national poet was inspired to write the hymn to Freedom. We descend into the charming town, where we will walk through the shops, tavernas, and visit the church of Saint Dionysios, the patron saint of the island.

2nd Day - Thursday: Zakynthos

Breakfast at our hotel. Full-day tour of the island, often referred to as the "Flower of the East." We will enjoy the coastal town of Laganas with its small church of Saint Sostis perched on a rock. We travel through beautiful traditional villages, visit the Monastery of Anafonitria, where Saint Dionysios lived, the coastal town of Agios Nikolaos, and a possible boat trip to admire the Blue Caves and the Shipwreck. Optional lunch, and then we continue along the coast to the other side of the island, heading towards Chora. Free evening to stroll through the pedestrian streets of the town.

Day 3 - Friday: Zakynthos, Argostoli, Agios Gerasimos, Fiskardo, Lefkada, Preveza

Breakfast at our hotel and preparation of luggage. Transfer to the port of Agios Nikolaos, where we will board the ferry to travel to Kefalonia. In one hour, we will arrive at the port of Pesada in Kefalonia. We will travel through traditional villages to reach the capital, Argostoli. Along the way, we will visit the Church of Panagia Fidusas. We continue to the Monastery of Saint Gerasimos, where we will venerate the myrrh-streaming relic of the Saint. Afterward, we will explore Argostoli, the pedestrian streets with shops, the coastal road full of fish tavernas, the Drapanos Bridge along the sea, and many other attractions. Optional lunch. In the afternoon, we depart for Fiskardo, where we will take a ferry to Lefkada. We will enjoy the beautiful island of Valaoritis. Opposite the coastal village are the islets of Sparti, Skorpidi, Skorpios (Onassis' island), and Meganisi. We leave the island by road via the Agia Mavra Bridge and continue along the coast to Preveza through the underwater tunnel. Transfer to the hotel in the city center and check-in to the rooms.

4th Day - Saturday: Acheron, Parga, Paxos, Antipaxos

Breakfast at our hotel. Today, we will admire the islets and towns of the Ionian Sea. We will travel along the coast with the Ionian Sea in the background. After a short drive, we will reach the coastal resort of Ammoudia, at the mouth of the Acheron River. For those interested, we can board small excursion boats to enjoy a unique experience crossing the Acheron River. We continue to the picturesque, island-style town of Parga. We will explore the beautiful city, the 14th-century castle, the islets of Panagia and Monolithi at the entrance of the town, and the waterfront lined with tavernas. From the small port, those who wish can take a boat to the lush Paxos islands. We will enjoy scenic beaches and magical caves. We will visit the few picturesque villages of Loggos, built in a scenic bay, Lakka, built at the mouth of a sheltered cove with traditional houses and squares full of cafés, and the capital, Gaios, with its vibrant tourist activity. The harbor is protected by two small islets, Panagia and Agios Nikolaos. Next, we will stroll through the green island of Antipaxos, just 6.5 square kilometers with around 80 inhabitants, known for its beautiful beaches. In the afternoon, we return to Preveza.

5th Day - Sunday: Zaloggo, Agios Dimitrios Monastery, Arta, Vlaherna, Koronesia

Breakfast at our hotel. Today, we embark on a journey through time, intertwined with legend, Byzantine monuments, and the Ambracian Gulf. We begin with Zaloggo, a historic site of sacrifice where the heroic Souliot women met their tragic end, and visit the women's Monastery of Saint Dimitrios. Next, we head to the stunning town of Arta, famous for its legendary bridge, and the Byzantine Church of Saint Theodora, the patron saint of the city. We will also visit the Byzantine Monastery of Vlacherna, followed by the enchanting route through Koronisia–Salaora, a narrow strip of land by the sea, and the Byzantine Church of Panagia Korakoni. After lunch, we head towards Ioannina. We will have our first encounter with the city of Ali Pasha and its legends, and transfer to our hotel. In the afternoon, we will enjoy exploring Ioannina, with its beautiful Pamvotida Lake, the island, the castle, and other attractions of the city.

6th Day - Monday: Zagorochoria, Kalpaki, Konitsa, Molyvdoskepastos Monastery

Breakfast at our hotel. Today, we embark on a full-day excursion to explore the traditional aspects of Epirus. We will take the regional road along the Epirus-Albania border, and from Ano Lapsista, we will enter the Zagori region, where we will admire traditional villages like Vitsa and Monodendri, visit churches, the Vikos Gorge, the Church of Saint Paraskevi, and old stone bridges. From Pedina, we will continue to Kalpaki, a village on the road to Konitsa, a significant site of fierce battles during the Greco-Italian War of 1940. We will visit the Kalpaki Military Museum.
We will then reach Konitsa, a charming town with a traditional atmosphere, where we will admire the stone arched bridge, the house of Saint Paisios, and other local landmarks. We will enjoy a traditional lunch with local dishes. After lunch, we will visit the Stavropigiaki Monastery of Panagia Molivdoskepastos in Bourazani. We will then return to Ioannina.

7th Day - Tuesday: Metsovo, Meteora, Kalambaka, Thessaloniki

Breakfast at our hotel and preparation of luggage. We travel along the Egnatia Road, between the peaks of the Pindus Mountains. After Metsovo, we descend towards Kalampaka to admire the Monastic community of Meteora. We will have a panoramic view of all the monasteries and visit two of them. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch in Kalampaka.
Next, we travel through the Thessaloniki plains and make a stop for a rest at the Agia Paraskevi Forest, located above the Peneios River in the lush Tempi Valley. Finally, we continue along the Egnatia Road towards the beautiful city of Thessaloniki.
We will have a panoramic city tour along the waterfront, visiting the White Tower, the Byzantine Walls, and making a pilgrimage to Saint Dimitrios. We then proceed to our hotel in the city center. Check-in and free time to enjoy the vibrant city of Thessaloniki, with its beautiful sights. You can take a stroll along Aristotelous Square, the waterfront, visit the White Tower, enjoy a mini cruise in the Thermaic Gulf, or explore the lively Ladadika district.

8th Day - Wednesday: Thessaloniki, Larnaca

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is a free day for shopping in Thessaloniki’s affordable markets. In the afternoon, we will depart for the airport, where we will return to Cyprus, with many beautiful memories from our trip.
