DAY 1-2: LARNACA-DUBAI-HO CHI MINH

Embarkation and departure for Ho Chi Minh City with a stopover in Dubaye.  Arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel in the metropolis of Vietnam. Check-in and free time to rest. An introduction by night to the city and a welcome dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant. Free time for exploring the city. Overnight.

DAY 3: SAIGON -CAN GIO MANGROVE FOREST

Breakfast. Can Gio is a low palm-fringed island sitting at the mouth of the Saigon River, some 50km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The mangroves forest in Can Gio possesses a high biodiversity of more than 200 species of fauna and 52 species of flora. The effects of the recent wars on these ecosystems have been devastating and large efforts have been made by local people to rehabilitate the mangroves. The island, which is at the intersection between the Saigon River and the sea, was created by silt washing downstream. It’s hard-packed mud rather than sandy beach, so attracts few visitors and the area remains entirely undeveloped. Around 08.00am: start from your hotel and head to Can Gio, also be known as “Monkey Island”. It takes round 1.5 hours to reach the site by bus and ferry. On arrival, we visit mangrove forest to see over 1,000 monkeys living there, you also can feed and take photos with many monkeys surrounding and climbing on your shoulder. Continue with a short walk to alligator farm, where local people conserve many huge alligators from the “American war” and you can try “alligator fishing” (optional). Then take speed boats to “Sac” guerilla camp built in deep jungle. Learn more about what happen during the war through some documentary films at the Sac Forest Base. Today the camp has become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what jungle life in the war must have been like.  We will then stop at local seafood market selling various kinds of fresh seafood regarding octopus, lobster, ray, etc and dried foods. There, enjoy a welcome drink (sugar cane juice) before having Vietnamese style lunch at a beach resort/beach side restaurant. Before heading back to Saigon, option to visit a nearby house of local people, then walking through their mango gardens and tasting fresh mangoes. In the midafternoon, we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city & end the tour around 5:00 pm

DAY 4: SAIGON CITY HIGHLIGHTS

After breakfast, we head to busy ChinaTown where Cho Lon, the biggest wholesale market in Saigon is located. Nearby visit Thien Hau pagoda which is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Lady of the Sea.

We then go back the district one for visiting the Reunification Palace, former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. Continue to visit Notre Dame Cathedral (outside) & Central Post Office.

During the visit, we will have lunch at a nice restaurant in the downtown. Optional to take a lift upto Saigon Skydeck Observation Deck on 68th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower for 360O view of Saigon city. Pay extra 11usd/ticket on spot.

Lastly, a visit at Ben Thanh market, one of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and one of symbols of Hochiminh City, popular with tourists seeking local handicrafts, textiles, ao dai, and souvenirs.

Free time for Saigon nightlife at Bui Vien Street with a lot of pubs lounge bars, and restaurants…or chill on a famous rooftop bar. Make your own way back to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Saigon

DAY 5: SAIGON- CU CHI – CAO DAI TEMPLE- CROSS LAND BORDER TO PHNOM PENH

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out of your room. At 08:00 We take more than one hour drive to Cu Chi Tunnels, through urbanized areas and a typically lush southern Vietnamese countryside. Discover a vast network of underground passageways built and used by the Viet Cong to evade detection as they moved troops and supplies throughout Ho Chi Minh City’s northern districts.

After the visit, we proceed to Tay Ninh city, quick visit to the famous Cao Dai Temple, which founded in 1926, the Cao Dai Temple (Tòa Thánh Tây Ninh) complex functions as a Holy See for the Cao Dai religion (Caodaism), Vietnam’s third most popular belief system after Buddhism and Catholicism. Lunch at local restaurant. Then we head to Moc Bai border with Cambodia. Check out of Vietnam and entry Kingdom of Cambodia via Bavet border, then meet your local guide and driver. Take around 3.5 hours bus trip to Phnom Penh capital.

Reach your hotel in the early evening. Check in and relax. It is easy to find restaurants in the city centre for dinner. Option to stroll around the night pub streets for pubs and bars. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 6: PHNOM PENH DISCOVERY

After breakfast, we visit the National Museum. Housed in a beautiful traditional building, it contains many outstanding examples of Khmer craftsmanship. Learn about a brighter period in Cambodian history with a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. During the visit, we have lunch at a nice restaurant in town. In the afternoon, head out to the Choeung Ek Memorial, where a stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls marks the site of the infamous Killing Fields. This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng and standing in this peaceful setting it's almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9000 corpses have been exhumed from the area. Confront Cambodia's tragic past on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school which served as a Khmer Rouge torture center. It's estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 7: PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP

Breakfast at hotel and check out. Today we take overland trip of around 5.5 hours to Siem Reap, Kingdom of Angkor Wat. On the midway, we stop for lunch break at the nice Prey Pros Restaurant, Kampong Thom province. Reach, your hotel in Siem Reap around midafternoon. Check in and enjoy free time to strolling around Siem Reap old town with market, shops, restaurants, spa, bars and pub still night.  Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 8: SIEM REAP- BANTEY SREY-MONK BLESSING-ANGKOR WAT

After breakfast, you will start to explore the most important highlights of the Angkor Complex with:

Banteay Srei Temple: The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of its decorative carving. Go back to Siem Reap for lunch at a restaurant. In the early afternoon, we attend a Blessing Ceremony at Khmer Pagoda.

Cambodia – the country of Buddhism and Temples, offers more than visiting the famous temples that are part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. You will have an opportunity to deeply understand and feel the cultural, historical, and spiritual values of the country by coming to the pagoda and watching monks making offerings. Participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony, performed by local monks that reside at the temple. Sit on carpets while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water and flowers on you – a traditional way which is believed to bring you good luck from the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This will protect you from any evil spirits or accidents - then say goodbye to the monks.

In the midafternoon, we continue discovering the majestic Angkor Wat which has been a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.  We go back to the hotel for relaxing and overnight.

DAY 9: ANGKOR THOM-PREAH KHAN- TA PRHOM -BAENTEY KDEI

We start from the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist, including the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), the South Gate, Bayon Temple- unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphuon Temple: lying just to the north of Bayon, a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru, the Royal Enclosure. Next site is Preak Khan Temple, then we continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm (by bus) embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Ta Prohm was built in the 12th century. We finish the day with Baentey Kdei Temple. During the visit we have lunch served at Khmer restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 10: SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP LAKE - FLY TO HANOI, VIETNAM

This morning we take short transfer to the boat quay, take boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to visit a floating village Lake, discover how local people live and trade on the great lake. This village is home to thousands of families, and it's the largest floating village in Tonle Sap.

On the way back, stop for a visit at Artisans Angkor, the Cambodian social business which was originally created to revive Khmer cultural heritage while helping young rural people finding work near their home village. Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer workmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk painting. After the visit, go back to your hotel for quick freshen up and check out.

Have lunch at a nice restaurant before going to Siem Reap airport (one hour drive) for flight (VN836@18:05-19:50) to Hanoi capital of Vietnam. Welcomed by your local guide at airport and go to hotel for check-in your room.  Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 11: SIEM REAP - PHOEN PENH

Today, our visits cover the most significant sites of Hanoi such as the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (the site closed on Mondays and Fridays and all afternoons), and his modest house on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of the city. The Temple of Literature (Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam), Vietnam’s first university, constructed in the 11th century, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past.  Have lunch at a very nice Vietnamese restaurant in the Hanoi old quarter and then experience Hanoi excellent egg coffee workshop at a vantage Café within some walks.  Later we take rickshaw tour around Hanoi Old streets, learn about the legend of Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Lastly, we enjoy the unique Vietnamese Water puppet show at the Puppetry Theatre near by the lake. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi

DAY 12: HANOI – NINH BINH –HOA LU- TAM COC- BICH DONG

After breakfast, check out of your room. At 08:00 We depart for Ninh Binh province located in Red River Delta. Visit Hoa Lu-The ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. What remains still now are the history stories and temples of the two hero kings Dinh and Le. Then, heading to Tam Coc area, where to take a rowing boat trip along Ngo Dong canal through these caves amidst towering mountain views, via beautiful waterways lined with rice paddies.  Start your amazing bicycle ride to Bich Dong Pagoda, a famous historical and cultural relic that nested at the foot of Ngu Nhac Son Mountain. During the day, have lunch at local restaurant Drive back to your hotel in Ninh Bình for overnight stay.

DAY 13: NINH BINH – HA LONG BAY - OVERNIGHT CRUISE

Breakfast and will be picked up by bus, set off for a 3.5 hours land journey to Halong Bay, one of the World Natural Heritages recognized by the UNESCO with thousands of spectacular limestone islands rising from the clear, emerald sea in the Gulf of Tonkin. Arrival at the port around 12h00, check in your cruise, and be ready to board around 12:20-12:30. Enjoy a welcome drink before checking into your cabin. While the boat is going through many rocky islets, caves, fish farms and beaches, your lunch will be served on board with fresh seafood. Free time afterwards for swimming or relaxing on the sundeck. Later, at sunset while the boat moves to a quiet area to dock for an overnight stay, enjoy a cooking class demonstration on the sundeck. Dinner with Vietnamese food is served on board.  Overnight on cruise

DAY 14-15: HA LONG BAY – HANOI – DUBAI - LARNACA

Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and start a perfect new day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay while the boat cruises leisurely in Ha Long Bay. Breakfast or brunch is served while the boat cruises back from Halong Bay. Arrive back at Tuan Chau Marina where our driver awaits to bring you back to Hanoi. Rest and free time. Late in the evening we will transfer to the airport for our return flight via a stopover in Dubai. Arrival in Larnaca the next morning with memories of a remarkable trip.
