World Rare Disease Day: Supporting with Blue Jeans!

On February 28th, we celebrate World Rare Disease Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the daily challenges faced by those living with rare genetic conditions. For us, this day is very important as it gives us the opportunity to show our support for these individuals and contribute to efforts aimed at improving their lives.

The “Jeans for Genes” campaign is a great way to help raise awareness about genetic disorders, while also raising funds for projects that make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected. The action is simple: wear blue jeans and a white t-shirt, and participate by taking a photo with the flag of the Cyprus Rare Genetic Diseases Association, showing your solidarity.

The campaign encourages everyone to take part in a simple yet powerful gesture. The slogan “Rare Genes? Wear Blue Jeans!” is a call to action, reminding us that with small actions, we can make a big difference.

At our office, we decided to participate and support this day with joy. We all wore our blue jeans and white t-shirts, and took a photo with the association’s flag, showing our support for the community of people with rare genetic diseases.

Let’s follow this example and continue supporting those in need in every way we can, warming our hearts with actions that bring real change.
